Checked for v1.0.9 Updated

Written from official sources and player reports as of October 30, 2026. If the developers announce anything new, their notice wins and we will update this page.

Our advice

  • Our paper advice: if you want physical buttons, pair a controller with a phone that meets the recommended specs. It is the one setup the official sources support, so it carries no policy question at all.
  • We have not run the game on an emulator ourselves. Based on the graphics reports and the silence in the Fair Play Policy, we would wait for an official word before making an emulator your main way to play, and we would never add macros to one.
  • Pick your server before you settle in. Characters cannot transfer between regions, so a later switch means a new character on the other side.

There is no PC client yet, so the closest thing to a desk setup today is a phone clipped to a controller. Illustration by Monster Hunter Outlanders Tier List

Is Monster Hunter Outlanders on PC? Step by step

  1. Check your phone against the specs

Look up your system version, iPhone model or Android chip, and RAM, then match them against the table above. If your phone clears the minimum but not the recommended line, on paper you should plan on lower graphics settings. The iOS download alone is 3.58 GB, so clear space first.

  2. Pick one server for the long run

Level Infinite runs North America, Japan and Europe. Garena runs Korea, Asia Pacific, MidEast Africa and Latam. You cannot team up or add friends across regions, and characters cannot transfer, so start where your friends already hunt.

Step 3: the official FAQ confirms controller support but names no models and no button layout. Illustration by Monster Hunter Outlanders Tier List

    Connect a controller

The official launch FAQ says controllers are supported. It does not list which models work or how the buttons map, so pair your pad with the phone and try it in an easy hunt before you take on a hard monster.

  4. Illustration of a blurry emulator window on a PC screen next to a clear phone showing the same scene, with a warning sign
Step 4: players report that emulators show the game at its lowest graphics, with monsters drawn as flat shapes. Illustration by Monster Hunter Outlanders Tier List

Read the emulator reports before you try one

Players report that the game drops to its lowest graphics on PC emulators. The Fair Play Policy bans scripts, mouse macros and other third-party tools, so if you do use an emulator, keep macro and automation features switched off.

Where people get stuck

Expecting the game on Google Play Games for PC

The Google Play listing shows phone and tablet only, with no Windows or Chromebook entry, so that route is closed for now.

Making a character on the wrong server

Characters cannot transfer and squads cannot form across regions. Check which server your group uses before you create a character.

Adding macros to an emulator setup

The Fair Play Policy bans mouse macros, scripts and other third-party tools used to gain an unfair advantage. Leave them out of any setup you play on.

Trying to stay logged in on two devices

One account can move between devices, but it cannot be logged in on two at once. Plan on one active device at a time.

Where you can play Monster Hunter Outlanders

Every official way to play Monster Hunter Outlanders runs through a phone or tablet, as of our October 30, 2026 check. The official launch FAQ names two platforms, iOS and Android, and nothing else. The official site, the news page and the official X account show no PC, Steam, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 or Xbox version. So none has been announced. That is not the same as ruled out, and we will add any new platform here once it is official.

Google Play Games on PC is not a way in either. The game’s Google Play page lists phones and tablets only, with no Windows or Chromebook entry. Players in mainland China face a longer wait: the official launch announcement puts the release there in 2027 onwards.

If you want a bigger screen and real buttons today, the setup the developers support is a phone or tablet with a controller. For everything else that shipped in the launch build, see our Monster Hunter Outlanders version 1.0.9 notes.

Playing on PC with an emulator

Some players run the Android version on a computer through emulators such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer and MuMu Player. Below is what has been reported so far. We have not run the game on an emulator ourselves, and we link no downloads.

  • Graphics. Players report the game runs poorly on emulators. One streamer found that on LDPlayer, MuMu Player and BlueStacks it stays at the lowest graphics even with ultra settings, with monsters drawn as flat shapes and weapons blurred. A launch thread on Reddit describes the same problem.
  • Installing. A Reddit thread reports that before launch, one player could not pre-download through MuMu Player’s own app store. Replies in that thread say BlueStacks 5 worked, LDPlayer worked during a closed beta, and installing through the Play Store inside MuMu worked.
  • Play Store compatibility. One player reports that the Play Store marks the game as unavailable or not compatible unless the emulator imitates a recent device.

What about the rules? The Fair Play Policy forbids getting an edge through macros or other outside tools, and it names mouse macros outright. The policy text says nothing about emulators. We are not calling emulators allowed or banned, because the developers have said neither. Any later official notice is the final word, and we will update this page when one appears.

On accounts, the official FAQ says one account can carry on across different devices, but it cannot be logged in on two of them at the same time.

Controller support

The official launch FAQ gives a plain yes: the game supports controllers. The official detail stops there. It names no supported models, no button layout and no remapping options, so we cannot list them either.

Two control schemes ship at launch. Adventure Mode cuts combat down to three buttons, Attack, Evade and Burst, while Classic Mode keeps the traditional Monster Hunter controls. The FAQ does not say how either one maps to a pad. On paper, we expect Classic Mode to feel more familiar to players who learned the series on a gamepad, but that is our read, not an official statement.

Phone requirements

The launch FAQ sets two tiers. To read the comparison under step 1, find your system version and RAM in your phone’s settings first, then see which column they reach. Reaching the minimum column means your phone is on the supported list, and the recommended column is the level the official FAQ advises. If you land in between, on paper we expect the game to run, but at lower graphics settings.

Android phones need more memory than iPhones at both tiers. The iOS download is 3.58 GB. The official sources give no Android download size.

Servers and accounts

Two publishers run separate servers. Level Infinite covers North America, Japan and Europe. Garena publishes the game across Southeast Asia and runs servers for Korea, Asia Pacific, MidEast Africa and Latam. Both offer iOS and Android. Server data stays apart: you cannot build squads, add friends or team up across regions, and characters cannot transfer.

Sign-in options differ by publisher. Level Infinite servers take a Level Infinite Account (email), Google, X, Apple, Facebook, LINE or Discord. Garena servers take Google, Apple, Facebook, Garena or a Guest login.

Once you are set up, our best Adventurers for beginners list covers who to start with.

Can I play Monster Hunter Outlanders on BlueStacks?

The game can run there, but players report it looks bad: on BlueStacks, LDPlayer and MuMu Player it shows at the lowest graphics even on ultra settings. A Reddit thread reports that BlueStacks 5 worked for installing. The Fair Play Policy bans macros and third-party tools but does not mention emulators, so watch for an official notice.

Is Monster Hunter Outlanders on Google Play Games for PC?

No. The Google Play listing shows phone and tablet devices only. There is no Windows entry for Google Play Games on PC and no Chromebook entry.

Is Monster Hunter Outlanders on Steam?

Not as of October 30, 2026. No Steam version has been announced on the official site, news page or official X account. No announcement is not the same as a no, and we will update this page if that changes.

Is Monster Hunter Outlanders coming to PS5, Switch 2 or Xbox?

No console version has been announced. The official site, news page and official X account list no PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 or Xbox release. Right now the only official platforms are iOS and Android.

Use the minimum and recommended spec table in step 1: check which column your system version and RAM reach. Android asks for more memory than iPhone, 8GB against 6GB at the recommended level. If your phone clears the minimum but not the recommended tier, we expect it to run the game on lower settings.
