Our take
- Our advice: choose one or two targets and a time budget before the first run, then stop as soon as you land one. At 20 to 35 minutes a cycle, rerolling without a limit costs more than it gives back.
- Rerolling is a small edge, not a requirement. Luka and Pyro come free, and event missions after launch add items for more than 400 recruits, far more than the 42 to 50 pulls a fresh account starts with. On paper, a so-so start has plenty of room to catch up.
- We would not restart an account for Midori before the November 1, 2026 recheck. Mail gives only 5 tickets for the limited banner, and pity there is not confirmed yet.
How we rank Monster Hunter Outlanders adventurers
- Worth a reroll
- Whether pulling this Adventurer justifies another 20 to 35 minute run on a fresh account. We take the placement from our main list, which scores squad value, safety and reliable damage, and only the top of that list clears this bar.
- Early-game impact
- How much the Adventurer helps while you learn the game and the monsters are still weak. Protection, team buffs and ranged damage that work without setup score here, because they forgive mistakes from the first hunt on.
- Free or paid
- Whether you can get the Adventurer without rerolling. Luka and Pyro come free from the launch events, and Rhodes is boosted on the rotating recruitment, so spending a reroll on any of them wastes time.
Why each adventurer is in its tier
S Worth a reroll for almost any player or squad. Luka is free, so the real targets are Arkaya and Madelyn.
All three fit almost any team or mode on our main list. Luka arrives free from the launch events, so a run spent chasing Luka is a run wasted. That leaves Arkaya, whose shield covered every squad member in the closed beta tests, and Madelyn, who boosts nearby allies from range. Either one next to a free Luka gives a fresh account squad protection and safe ranged damage.
- Arkaya: Top reroll target. One pull protects the whole squad, if the closed beta shield holds at launch. Low personal damage.
- Madelyn: Top reroll target with Arkaya. Buffs nearby allies from a safe distance, so a fresh account gets team support from day one.
- Luka: No reroll needed: free from launch events. You own one S pick before the first pull, so aim the reroll at a Support.
A Strong, but each needs the right team or a condition first, so keep them if they drop instead of rerolling.
All five are strong on paper but need setup before they pay off. Pyro is free from the launch events, and Rhodes gets a boosted rotation on standard contracts, so neither needs a reroll. Haze has no confirmed team buff, and Keres and Ouyang Varen add less to a fresh squad than a top Support. None of them justifies another run alone.
- Pyro: No reroll needed: free from launch events. Pyro and Luka give a fresh account a free damage core while you pull for a Support.
- Haze: Not a reroll target yet. The official card names no team buff, so Haze cannot stand in for Arkaya or Madelyn on paper.
- Keres: A good keep if Keres drops, but not worth a restart. The best combos need setup, which matters less early than squad support.
- Ouyang Varen: Keep if it lands. The strong guard is forgiving for a new player, but free Luka and Pyro already cover Assault.
- Rhodes: Boosted on the first rotating recruitment with standard contracts, so Rhodes can wait until after you settle on an account.
B Works well, but a same-class Adventurer does the job better, so we would not reroll for them.
Each has a clear strength, but a same-class rival covers the role with less setup. That includes Midori, the limited SSR on the first featured recruitment. A fresh account gets only 5 tickets for that banner, and players describe Midori as harder to handle than other picks, so we would not restart an account for Midori before the November 1, 2026 recheck.
- Ryunosuke: Not a reroll target. The eating step slows early hunts, and Madelyn fills the Support slot with less work.
- Luxheart: Not a reroll target. Juggling Heat stances is a lot to learn on a fresh account, and the payoff is unproven.
- Pepper: Not a target on paper, though players confirm the ultimate can pin the monster. Part of the November 1, 2026 recheck.
- Midori: Limited SSR, but mail gives only 5 tickets for that banner, and players call Midori hard to handle. Rechecked November 1.
C Fits a narrow playstyle, so Raya is never the reason to keep or restart a run.
Raya suits players who like constant dodging and will spend stamina for a faster Demon Gauge. That narrow job, plus a shorter official card than Keres or Haze, makes Raya the last Adventurer to reroll for. Judge a run by whether it also gave you Arkaya or Madelyn.
- Raya: Skip as a target. If Raya is the only new SSR in a run and you still want Arkaya or Madelyn, the run is worth repeating.

Full notes on the Monster Hunter Outlanders Reroll Guide
Should you reroll?
Yes, reroll in Monster Hunter Outlanders, but only for a few runs aimed at one or two clear targets, since players report each cycle takes about 20 to 35 minutes. Every run starts a brand-new account, and in return you get roughly 42 to 50 recruitment pulls from mail, the starter banner and the ticket exchange. The game has no data reset, so on the Level Infinite version every attempt needs another Google, Apple or X account or a different email address. The Garena version has a different set of login options, listed in the steps below.
The free rewards cut the case for long sessions. The launch events bring Luka and Pyro to the squad at no cost, and event missions after launch add recruitment items for more than 400 recruits. Our advice is to set a time budget, chase Arkaya or Madelyn, and start playing once one of them shows up. This page follows the order of our main Monster Hunter Outlanders tier list, looked at from a fresh account.
Why Midori is not our first pick
Since launch, Japanese guide sites mostly put Midori first, and Midori headlines the first featured recruitment, so many reroll plans aim straight at Midori. We place Midori in B. That is a paper judgment from the official kit: no timed or damage data from the live game exists yet, and the rules for when we move someone are in how we rank Monster Hunter Outlanders Adventurers. We recheck Midori on November 1, 2026.
If you want Midori anyway, keep two things in mind. A fresh account can only try so often: mail gives 5 tickets for the limited Midori banner, and pity on that banner is not confirmed yet. Players also describe Midori as harder to handle than other picks, with unusual skill motions and damage that depends on landing timed counters. Midori suits players who want to practice that timing, not someone hoping for an easy first week.
Who to reroll for
The order matches the main list. Two Adventurers are worth a restart, two come free, and the rest are keeps rather than targets.
- Arkaya (S, Support, Lance): the first target. In the closed beta tests, Arkaya’s shield reached every squad member. Testers also report low personal damage, so Arkaya earns the spot through protection.
- Madelyn (S, Support, Bow): the second target. Madelyn’s spores boost Madelyn and allies close by, and the Bow keeps the fight at range.
- Luka (S, Assault, Bow): do not reroll for Luka. Luka is free from the launch events.
- Pyro (A, Assault, Great Sword): do not reroll for Pyro either. Pyro is also free from the launch events.
- Rhodes (A, Assault, Hammer): no need to chase Rhodes on a reroll. The first rotating recruitment boosts Rhodes, and it runs on standard contracts.
- Everyone else: keep them if they drop, but do not restart an account for them.
How to reroll
- Start on a fresh account. On the Level Infinite version, log in with a Google, Apple or X account, or an email address, that the game has not seen. Choose your server before you begin. The Level Infinite servers in North America, Japan and Europe do not share data, and characters cannot move between them, so the account you keep stays on the server where you made it. These steps follow player reports from the Level Infinite version. Garena publishes the same game in Southeast Asia on its own servers, and its official login options are Google, Apple, Facebook, Garena and Guest. We have no reports on how rerolling works there.
- Play the opening until recruitment unlocks. Push through the opening tutorial until the recruitment menu opens.
- Claim the mail rewards and recruitment tickets. This includes the 5 tickets for the limited Midori banner and whatever the ticket exchange offers before the reroll point.
- Pull on the starter and limited banners. The in-game rates screen shows a 0.6% base rate for an SSR Adventurer. The same screen shows the starter banner guarantees an SSR Adventurer within 50 pulls, and its 10-pull costs 20% less. That guarantee is for an SSR Adventurer, not a chosen one.
- Check the result and decide. Keep the account if Arkaya or Madelyn is there. If not, log out and repeat from step 1 with another account.
Deleting the account between runs does not save you a new login. One player reports an account deletion option in the settings, but another reports that a deleted account’s email cannot be reused right away.
How long a reroll takes
Plan on about 20 to 35 minutes per cycle, based on player reports. You have no control over the result of any single cycle. That is why we set the budget before the first run rather than after a bad streak. For more on how the banners and contracts work, see our Monster Hunter Outlanders gacha guide.
When to stop rerolling
Stop at the first S-tier Support. Luka is free, so one Arkaya or one Madelyn gives you two S picks on day one. Add the free Pyro and the Fated Adventurer, who can sit in a squadmate slot, and you have a full squad of four with no more runs needed.
Stop as well when your time budget runs out, even without a target. The free recruits from the launch event missions far outnumber what any single reroll gives, so a plain start still has room to grow. A run with Midori but no S-tier Support is a judgment call. We would keep going for Arkaya or Madelyn, but if Midori is the Adventurer you want to learn, keeping that account is a fair choice.
Who this adventurer tier list is for
New players
If you are new, keep it short. Reroll a few times for Arkaya or Madelyn, then start playing. Luka and Pyro arrive free, and the Fated Adventurer can fill a squadmate slot, so one S-tier Support already completes a squad of four.
Experienced players
If you know Monster Hunter fights well and enjoy timing practice, Midori is a fair personal pick despite sitting in B. Just plan around 5 limited tickets on a fresh account and no confirmed pity on that banner.
