Which SSR Adventurers are on the standard banner?

The standard banner holds six SSR Adventurers: Rhodes, Luka, Pyro, Keres, Arkaya and Pepper. Eight of the 13 Adventurers are SSR. The two outside the standard pool are Midori, the limited SSR, and Haze, who one player reports comes from the Adventure Guild shop. The other five, Raya, Madelyn, Ouyang Varen, Luxheart and Ryunosuke, are SR.

Our tiers come straight from the main Monster Hunter Outlanders tier list. They are paper judgments from the official kit and player reports, not results from our own pulls. A Reddit thread reports pulls of Luka, Arkaya and Pepper on the beginner recruitment and Keres on the standard one, and one player there says both banners share the same Adventurers.

Who to pick with the 300-recruit exchange

After 300 pulls on the standard recruitment, you choose one SSR Adventurer for free, first time only.

On paper, take Arkaya. Arkaya sits in S, and the launch events do not include Arkaya. Skip Luka and Pyro, since the launch events already bring both.

The monthly subscription changes the math. Its first purchase offers Keres, Pyro or Arkaya. If you plan to buy it, take Arkaya there and spend the exchange elsewhere:

• Pepper, for the Heavy Bowgun. One player reports Pepper has no event or shop route, so the exchange is the one sure way in, if Pepper is on its list.
• Keres, if the subscription went to Arkaya and you want fast Dual Blades combos.
• Rhodes, only after the rotation moves on. Right now the rotating recruitment guarantees Rhodes.

Is Midori on the standard banner?

No. The six-SSR standard lineup leaves Midori out, because Midori is a limited Adventurer. Chasing Midori takes featured contracts on a separate banner with a raised rate.

Our main tier list puts Midori in B. Players describe Midori as harder to handle than other picks, since the damage depends on timed counters. We recheck Midori on November 1, 2026, and our Monster Hunter Outlanders reroll page covers whether to restart for Midori.

Best standard SSR for your main weapon

Each Adventurer has one weapon of expertise, and the six standard SSRs all use different ones:

• Hammer: Rhodes, the only Hammer user on the roster.
• Bow: Luka. Madelyn also uses the Bow but is SR.
• Great Sword: Pyro.
• Dual Blades: Keres. Haze is outside the standard pool.
• Lance: Arkaya.
• Heavy Bowgun: Pepper, the only Heavy Bowgun user.
• Long Sword or Charge Blade: the standard six skip both. Midori (limited) and Ryunosuke (SR) use the Long Sword, and the Charge Blade is for the Fated Adventurer.

So a Hammer main should take Rhodes. The current rotating recruitment guarantees Rhodes once within 120 pulls, which leaves the 300 exchange free for Arkaya.

Should you pull on the standard recruitment?

Yes, if Arkaya or the 300 exchange is your goal. The base rate for an SSR Adventurer is 0.6%, so the guarantees matter more than luck. Each banner keeps its own count:

• Beginner: clear it first. You get an SSR Adventurer by pull 50 at the latest, and each 10-pull is discounted by 20%.
• Standard: one free SSR choice after 300 pulls, a fallback when luck misses Arkaya.
• Rotating: Rhodes once within 120 pulls for now, paid with the same standard contracts.

That shared currency is the catch. Contracts spent on the rotating banner do not count toward the 300 exchange, and the reverse holds too. Pick one goal and put every standard contract there. Launch event missions add recruitment items for more than 400 recruits, but the announcement does not say which banners they cover.
