B Heat-driven stance swaps and firework bursts give Luxheart real tools, but the kit asks for many inputs. Luxheart strengths and weaknesses
Strengths
- Heat lets Luxheart change stance, so on paper one Great Sword can cover more than one plan inside a single hunt.
- The card names a firework burst of stored energy as the payoff, which should give Luxheart a clear damage spike.
- A Perfect Evade keeps the Great Sword charge, so Luxheart can dodge a hit without losing a lined-up swing.
- One player reports Luxheart comes free from the Rank Rush event, so Luxheart should cost no pulls at all.
Weaknesses
- Heat, stance, charge level and burst timing are a lot to track at once, far more than the fast combo chains Keres relies on.
- Great Sword swings are slow, and the official card lists nothing that helps squadmates.
- The free route rests on a single player report, and per that report Luxheart only joins after some Adventurer Rank progress.
Our take
- Day-one paper call: take Luxheart when the Rank Rush reward arrives and spend nothing extra. One player reports that route is free, so recruitment items and paid packs are better saved for SSR Adventurers.
- If you enjoy a hands-on Great Sword, control Luxheart yourself instead of leaving the stance swaps to the AI. This is a read of the official kit, not a result from our own hunts, and we will revise it once live footage shows how Heat plays.
Luxheart sits in B on our day-one list. The kit has real upside on paper, but it takes more input than Keres, a fellow Disruptor who mostly chains fast combos.
Spend nothing on Luxheart. One player reports Luxheart arrives free from the Rank Rush event, so keep your pulls for SSR targets.
What the official card tells us
Two of the 13 Adventurers swing a Great Sword, and Luxheart is the Disruptor of the pair. Where Pyro turns lost health into damage, Luxheart builds Heat and spends it to switch stances. Some moves then release that stored energy as a firework burst.
Per the official Great Sword overview, swings are slow and damage climbs with charge level. A Perfect Evade keeps a charge intact, and switching to a skill mid-charge opens follow-ups.
Stack those layers and the picture gets busy: watch Heat, choose a stance, time a charge, pick the burst moment. On paper that means more tools than most Disruptors, and more ways to lose damage when one step slips. That is the heart of our B call.
Where Luxheart fits in a squad
Players report a squad is one Adventurer you control plus three automatic squadmates. The card lists no effect for allies, so Luxheart brings damage and pressure, nothing more.
That points to the control slot. A human can plan stance swaps around a monster’s openings; whether the AI can is still open.
The Co-Op Skill needs every squadmate on one chosen part, and we expect a slow Great Sword to need its charge ready early. Partners can give Luxheart room: Arkaya passed a shield to the whole squad in the closed beta tests, and one player report suggests Ryunosuke as a squadmate could help charge ultimates. What we will check after launch
Servers opened on October 28, 2026 at 22:00 UTC (October 29 in Asia). For Luxheart, three questions stay open:
- How quickly Heat fills, and what each stance changes.
- Which moves fire the firework burst, and how much damage it adds.
- Whether an AI-controlled Luxheart uses stance swaps well.
If the burst carries fights, Luxheart could climb to A. If Keres keeps matching that damage with less setup, B stays. Every change goes into the changelog on our tier list.
What to pair with Luxheart
- Arkaya: Slow Great Sword windows leave Luxheart exposed. In the closed beta tests, a shield Arkaya gained also reached every squad member, which should buy time to finish a charge, on paper.
- Madelyn: Madelyn's detonated Spores boost Madelyn and allies close by. Luxheart swings a melee weapon, so Luxheart should often stand inside that range.
- Ryunosuke: One player reports both come from Rank Rush, and another report says a Support squadmate charges every ultimate when skill 3 lands. Ryunosuke on AI could feed Luxheart's ultimate.

Is Luxheart good in Monster Hunter Outlanders?
Luxheart is decent but not a top pick. Our day-one list puts Luxheart in B: Heat lets the Great Sword change stance and some moves fire a firework burst, but Keres reaches Disruptor value with simpler fast combos.
How do I get Luxheart?
One player reports Luxheart is free from the Rank Rush event, which hands out SR Adventurers at Adventurer Rank 20 and 30. No second source covers the route yet, so treat it as likely rather than settled.
Should I spend pulls or money on Luxheart?
No. Luxheart is one of the five SR Adventurers, and the reported free route leaves no reason to recruit for Luxheart. Put recruitment items toward SSR Adventurers; our reroll tier list covers which ones.
What weapon does Luxheart use?
The Great Sword. Out of 13 Adventurers, just Luxheart and Pyro carry one. The official overview calls the weapon slow, says power grows with charge level and notes that a Perfect Evade keeps the charge.
What does Heat do for Luxheart?
Heat is the resource Luxheart spends to change stance, according to the official card. The same card says some moves release stored energy as a firework burst. No numbers are given, so how fast Heat builds is still unknown.
Should I use Luxheart or Keres?
Keres, on paper. Both sit in the Disruptor class, and Keres gets results by chaining fast combos, while Luxheart has to juggle Heat, stance and Great Sword charge. Luxheart makes sense if you lack Keres or want a heavier weapon.
Is Luxheart good as an AI squadmate?
Unknown for now. Players report three of the four Adventurers in a squad fight on automatic control, but no footage we have seen shows how the AI uses Heat and stance swaps. Until it does, we suggest controlling Luxheart yourself.
